“The caravan was my base, a secure place and a stock for all the artworks I received during my journey. As a basement for ART ON THE ROAD 2 it was my rolling home between Berlin and Valencia.”
The art home has now arrived at its final destination in the dye garden of the CASA del DRAGON, artist residence and think tank in Eastern spain. The dye garden is part of the worldwide sevengardens – project featured by the UNESCO.
“The caravan was my hom. From now on it will be a home for other artists, wwoofers and friends, who will enjoy the wonderful village and the nice people of Cervera del Maestre, the Maestrazgo region and the land of Valencia. The target of the dye garden is to discover and guard knowledge of obtaining and using natural pigments for inks and colours. Every end is a new beginning. With this little caravan number 1 we start the garden project NOW. (Juan Petry, artist)”
Artists with interest in natural pigments and sustainable art production can apply for a residence in the CASA del Dragon here. Helpers and supporters are also welcome.
